Welcome!
For nearly 100 years, chlorine has been perceived as the only way to disinfect water in swimming pools and spas. Yet this method commonly yields red, irritated eyes, dry and brittle hair, swimmer’s ear, dry itchy skin, bleached out swimsuits and a distinct odor on your body and the water.
Chlorine is a strong bleach and is dangerous. Studies have linked it with cancer, and scientists claim it is a leading cause of erosion of the Earth’s ozone layer.
Cooling tower operators can save in chlorine cost and no longer have to worry about chemical storage, regulation and compliance issues.
The bottom line is ..... nobody likes CHLORINE!
Is there a safer, more effective and economical alternative?
YES, introducing MineralPure, the healthy alternative to chlorine!
Clearwater's MineralPURE
obtains NSF Approval
Clearwater Enviro Technologies has become the first ionizer manufacturer in the past 20 years (and only the 3rd company in the world) to obtain NSF-Standard 50 approval.
The expensive and long awaited project took nearly 10 months to complete. The approval is the highest certification possible for the product MineralPURE, that safely allows commercial swimming pool owners to dramatically reduce chlorine use.
NSF International (National Sanitation Foundation) has been recognized as the leader in public health safety for over 65 years. They are an accredited certification body that tests and certifies products to verify they meet public health and safety standards. In the swimming pool industry, NSF has been helping people swim safer by meeting the needs of public health inspectors, product manufacturers, aquatic facility managers, facility users and homeowner's through a vast array of testing and certification services.
At the core of NSF's service offerings to this industry is the NSF Pool and Spa Equipment Program. This encompasses several standards such as NSF/AMSI Standard 50, plus various standard criteria from ASTM, ASME and others. Of all the relevant pool and spa industry standards and criteria, NSF/ANSI Standard 50 is special due to the manner in which it was created and its continued evolution. Like all NSF-developed standards, NSF 50 represents a consensus of voting membership with a balance between manufacturers, users and regulatory authorities. This ensures that products evaluated and certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 50 have the greatest acceptance. It's the reason product manufacturers, specifiers and, of course, public health officials, look for the NSF Mark.
NSF also offers a conformity assessment program which includes laboratory testing, production facility audits and certification to verify ongoing standard compliance. The registered NSF Certifications Mark on a pool or hot tub system component confirms that NSF has assessed - and certified - its conformity with the relevant section of NSF/ANSI Standard 50 and/or other product standards. In addition, NSF conducts annual audits at each authorized production facility to assure that certified products continue to comply with the appropriate standard requirements.
Currently, 28 U.S. states have swimming pool and/or spa regulatory codes that specifically require compliance or third party certification of circulation system components to NSF Standard 50. Many counties and cities in states across the U.S. also have pool and spa codes that require compliance with NSF 50. All over the world, our dealers have acknowledged how valuable NSF is.
Clearwater Enviro Tech will now heavily market the product for new dealers and reps across the world with this big announcement.
All new brochures have been designed and will be released next week - just in time for the swimming pool season! We have a new MineralPURE residential quad-fold and a new commercial quad-fold, as well as new models and new marketing materials. Look for much more newsletter announcements over the next two weeks!
As mentioned earlier, Clearwater Enviro Technologies is now just the 3rd ionizer company in the world to obtain NSF- Standard 50, and the first in over 20 years to do so!

How it Works
|
The MineralPure system consists of a microprocessor control box and a scientifically designed set of electrodes composed of copper and silver. Water is passed through a specially designed flow cell chamber that houses the electrodes and is installed on the return line of your existing pool equipment. The control box works by generating a precise, low-voltage DC current to the electrodes. Basically, the current causes some of the outermost atoms of the electrodes to lose an electron, thus becoming positive ions. While the water is running through the chamber, many of these ions are released into the water. It is a well documented fact that copper-ions kill algae, and silver ions kill bacteria & viruses. |

![]() You can greatly reduce the need for chlorine with the MineralPure system installed. Only a small amount of an oxidizer will be required after a heavy bather load or a rainstorm. The greatest benefit of the MineralPure system is that the ions remain in the water providing a residual protection. They provide long-term, nontoxic purification and prevent against recontamination. Unlike other types of sanitizers, the copper and silver ions remain in the water until they flocculate, or form masses with algae and bacteria then become large enough to be removed by the filtering equipment. A simple test kit is included with the unit to maintain the proper ion level. |
